Rocks to Schools Space Workshop will educate pupils all about our solar system the different planets and their Moons. The will learn more about our closest neighbour our Moon and how it effects our planet.
Looking at Our Moon
Teaching pupils about the formation of our Moon. They will learn how oceans and tides are effected by the Moon, as well as Moon phases.
Pupils will watch videos on Apollo 11 and Apollo 17.
Rocks to Schools will educate pupils on how Moon craters are formed, they will even have chance to make Moon craters and discuss:-
Mountains on the Moon
Volcanoes on the Moon
Future exploration and Moon bases
Learn how to observe the Moon through a small telescope or binoculars
Beyond Our Solar System
Rocks to Schools will teach pupils about other Galaxies (Not the chocolate bars), our own milky way
and the possibility of life on other Planets.
- Pupils will get a chance to collect and study samples of rock just like the Apollo astronauts.
- They will also be able to make their own crates.
